Guadalupe Massey

Guadalupe "Lupe" (Gonzales) Massey, 89, of Beeville, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015. Mrs. Massey was born July 5, 1926, in Cotulla to Martha (Cabrera) and Alfredo Gonzales. She married George Massey in Cotulla on Sept. 24, 1944. She was a Baptist, a nurse and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death her parents and her husband. Survivors include her children, Gary (Cynthia) Massey and Nancy Barrow, both of Beeville; a brother, Roy (Dawn) Gonzales of Yuma, Arizona; a sister, Oralia Saenz of Yuma, Arizona; four grandchildren, Leeann Burt, Paula Flores, Michael Massey and Kimberly Dalrymple; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service will be conducted there at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
