Guy Willeford

Guy E. Willeford, 77, of Beeville, died Sunday, May 15, 2016. Mr. Willeford was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, to Mary Louise (Ketner) and James Henry Williford. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and as a correctional officer with TDCJ. He married Harolyn "Buddy" Halfhide in Trinidad on Jan. 24, 1959, and was member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 1, 2014; his parents; a brother, Kenneth; and a sister, Brenda. Survivors include his children, Guy Willeford Jr. of Victoria and Jeffrey (Lori) Willeford of Beeville, and Gregory (Amy) Willeford of San Antonio and Scott (Beth) Willeford of Austin; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Lamont, Wayne and Donnie; and six sisters, Syvilla, Linda, Connie, Ann, Patricia Ann and Ruth Elizabeth. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with Rev. Clayton Elder officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
