Hazel Elizabeth (Moore) Parkman, 85, of Beeville, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011. Mrs. Parkman was born May 13, 1925, in Needville to Wilma Adkins and John P. Moore. She married Leon Parkman in Houston on Aug. 23, 1946, and was a beautician. She was also a member of Trinity Christian Church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Parkman; a brother, John Hubert Moore; and a sister, Janette Earl. Survivors include three sons, David Lee (Paula) Parkman of the Philippines; Richard Larry (Kathy) Parkman of Bay City and Robert Barry (Sally) Parkman of Beeville; a stepson, Huey Parkman; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service was held there Saturday at 2 o'clock with Rev. John Norvell officiating. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Parkman Jr., Justin Parkman, Joshua Parkman, John Parkman, Jodi Parkman and Michael Parkman.
