Hector Arrisola went Home to his Lord and Savior on January 16, 2017. He passed away peacefully, after a long and courageous battle. Hector was born on September 17, 1956, to Genaro and Maria Eliza (Soliz) Arrisola in Beeville.
He met Norma Ramos, the love of his life, in October 1970, at a football game and would always tell everyone that the moment he saw her, he fell in love. They married in 1976, renewing their wedding vows on December 3, 2005, at the Corpus Christi Cathedral, with Bishop Edmond Carmody officiating.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and an oilfield operator. He loved his children and grandchildren very much and was always helping anyone in need. He loved family get togethers, making sure that every detail would be taken care of. This last New Years Day was his last celebration he put together. He was really tired but said he was happy to have had one more celebration with his family. Hector loved His Lord, and throughout his pain and suffering, would always say that Jesus suffered more for us.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ricky Arrisola; brothers-in-law, Richard Crenshaw and Joe Edward Falcon; and nephew, Enrique Ocana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Norma; daughter, Dawn (Jason) Cuevas; son, Hector James Arrisola; his five grandchildren, Hannah Madison and Hayden Maddox Cuevas; Bella Reina, Katalina Gabriella and Luka James-David Arrisola; brother, Genaro (Mary Jane) Arrisola, sisters, Dalia (Gonzalo) Salazar Jr., Yolanda (Mitchell) Smith and Joyce (Brandon) Penick; mother-in-law, Amelia Hernandez; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane (Genaro) Arrisola, Belinda Crenshaw, Diana (Juan) Paiz, Terri (Abel Puebla) Vidaure and Cynthia (Mike) Corey; brother-in-law, Lupe ( Sally) Ramos; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
