Hilario Garza

Hilario "Lalo" Garza, 75, of Beeville, died Monday, June 24, 2013. Mr. Garza was born April 15, 1938, in Beeville to Hilario B. and Pabla Moya Garza. He married Hilaria "Lala" Martinez in Beeville on Aug. 17, 1959. He was retired from Coastal Transport as a truck driver and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilario B. and Pabla Garza; and a grandchild, Joshua Gonzales. Survivors include his wife, Hilaria "Lala" Garza of Beeville; two sons, Gerald (Laura) Garza and Hilario "Larry" (Karla) Garza, both of San Antonio; two daughters, Gracie Garza of Lakehills and Gabriella "Gabbie" (Johnny) Gonzales of Beeville; five grandchildren, Angela Sells, Amanda Garza, Alyssa Garza, John Gonzales and Jordan Gonzales; two great-grandsons; a sister, Marcela Llanes of Flour Bluff; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Pallbearers will be John Gonzales, Jordan Gonzales, Refugio Martinez, Jr., Ralph Martinez, Henry Martinez, and Martin Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Micah Sells, Aurelio Trevino, and Charlie Ramriez.
