Howard Brinkman

Howard Edward Brinkman, 89, of Beeville, Texas, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 4, 2019. He was lovingly surrounded by his family.

Howard was born March 14, 1930 in Glencoe, Minnesota, to Elmer A. and Selma A. (Jensen) Brinkman. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War veteran. He married Donna Mae Luedtke at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota, on July 5, 1953.

He retired as a welder from the oil and gas industry and was a member of the Lutheran church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Selma Brinkman; his wife, Donna Mae Brinkman; a daughter, Lois Brinkman; a son, Brent Brinkman; and two brothers, Jerry Brinkman and Maynard Brinkman.

Howard leaves behind to cherish his memories four daughters, Iolanda (Mark) Benning and Shawn (Mike) Smithers, both of Hutchinson, Minnesota, Dee (Bob) Powell of Odessa, Texas and Tonja (Johnny Lovato) Rice of Beeville, Texas; a brother and sister, Orville (Phyllis) Brinkman and Ruth Panning, both of Glencoe, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Charity (Clyde) Carter, Michael (Becky) McLain, Trey Lovato and Marqui McGill; and four great-grandchildren, Gracie, Lyric, Gibson and Creek.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
