Imogene Meyer

Imogene Stevenson Meyer, 83, of Beeville, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010. She was born in Comanche County on Aug. 7, 1926, to Daniel Gladstone and Alta Mae Lee Maloy. She married Lee Meyer in Beeville on April 9, 1977. She was the office manager for Meyer Motor Parts, a member of the Beeville Garden Club, one of the original members of Bee County Western Week and assistant City Manager from 1968-1975. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings. Survivors include her husband, Lee Meyer of Beeville; five children Curtis (Annette) Stevenson of Wahlburg, David Stevenson of Sandia, Debbie (Gary) Maisel of Beeville, Mark (Joyce) Meyer of Corpus Christi and Marvin (Byronna) Meyer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Jane (Allen) Tipps of Dallas; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral chapel with Rev. Greg Traylor officiating. Music will be provided by organist Mary Ellen Thoms and soloist Doug Burton. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Stevenson, Will Stevenson, Scott Stevenson, Josh Maisel, Patrick Meyer and Jim Maloy.
