Jacob Rhyne

Jacob Michael "Mike" Rhyne found eternal peace, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home. Mike was born May 8, 1945 in San Antonio,Texas, the youngest child and only son of Jacob and Opal Rhyne. Mike was a quiet and private man who left a big impact and a lasting impression on those who knew him. He was a loving husband and father, loyal friend and mentor to many. Mike was and outdoorsman who loved wildlife and nature, and his hobbies consisted of fishing, boating, and photography. Mike was a true craftsman who loved to build with his own hands. He enjoyed working with wood, tinkering with anything mechanical, and could figure out how to fix anything. His most beloved memories are of spending time at the river with his family. Mike was a surety bond specialist associated with Keetch & Associates of Corpus Christi, Tx. Mike is survived by his wife Lynne; his son Burton Rhyne of Pflugerville,Tx; his daughter Amy Jorgensen and her husband David of El Paso, Tx.; his daughter Amanda Berry and her husband Oren ("Bo") of Manor, Tx; Mike had eight grandchildren, Christine Rhyne, Jessica Jorgensen, Laura Jorgensen, Tonya Jorgensen, Julia Jorgensen, Jeffery Jorgensen, Davy Jorgensen, and Joseph Jorgensen. He is also survived by two sisters, Marie "Ree" Becker of San Antonio,Tx; and Judy Klasing and her husband Milton, of Houston, Tx. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Opal Rhyne of San Antonio.
