Jacob Walker, Sr.

Corpus Christi, Texas J. E. "Dub" Walker, Sr.,88, passed away October 30, 2011. He was born to Benjamin Franklin and Emelie Clemence Buchman Walker on March 12, 1923 in Hungerford, Texas. He served in the U. S. Navy. He married Mary Louise Curbello on June 16, 1950 in Beeville, Texas. He was a truck driver for Southern Pacific Transportation for 31 years and 8 months. He was a member of Teamster Union and enjoyed fixing cars traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Louise Curbello Walker of Corpus Christi, Texas; his four children, Bobby Walker of Arlington, Texas, Susan Edwards (George) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rachel Harris (Pat) of Robstown, Texas, and Jake Walker, Jr. (Barb) of Tucson, Arizona; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas. Pallbearers will be his grandson, Charlie Harris, Russ Harris, Justin Walker, Heath Bailey, Mike Auzenne, and Cody Thibodeaux.
