James Mitchell Whitman

James Mitchell Whitman, 65, a devoted brother and a respected member of George West, Texas, passed away on December 13, 2024.

James was born December 21, 1958, in Republic, Washington to Charles Edward Whitman and Mary Alice (Vance) Whitman. After high school, he attended Del Mar College and pursued a career as a retail clerk and inventory specialist. He was employed in both hardware and retail and wholesale settings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Whitman.

Survivors include two sisters, Alice Michelle Chapa and Charlene A. Whitman; a niece, Angela Marie Lindholm; and grand-nieces, Taylor Marie Fisher and Emilee Reese Fisher.
