Jane Freeman Zavisch age 80 went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benny Thomas Zavisch; her parents, Rans and Amanda (Anderson) Freeman; two brothers, R.W. and A. Allison Freeman; five sisters, Rose Ella Freeman, Clarella Waller, Patricia Fuller, Mary Alpha Robison and Janice Engel.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Zavisch, wife, Cathy, along with three grandchildren, Tanya Kuehlem, Tiffany Serrata and grandson, Ty Zavisch; surrogate granddaughter, Christy (Michael) Sotelo; 11 great-grandchildren, Austen and Makinna Serrata, Gaige Kuehlem, Ryleigh Kuehlem, Brayden Serrata, Elora Zavisch; surrogate great-grandchildren, Megan Sotelo, Makayla Sotelo, Summer Sotelo, Katie and Kyrstin Sotelo; one brother, Carl (Jeanette) Freeman; sisters, Ethyl Heickman, Ivas (Harry) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Benny and Jane were married May 20, 1955, the same night she graduated from Three Rivers High School. They lived many years at the Zavisch Ranch where Benny worked for Transco and ranched. Jane worked for the U.S. Post Office in Tilden. After leaving the ranch in 1970, they lived in many different states before moving “back home” in 1990. Benny preceded her in death July 18, 1999, after 44 years of marriage. Jane was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers, Three Rivers Lions Club and volunteered at Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers with Rev. Glenn Henneke officiating. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Makinna Serrata, Roy Lee Koonce, Tim Smith, Kevin McKee, Gaige Kuehlem and Austen Serrata. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Steele, Raymond Bednorz, Mickey Freeman, Hugh Ray McClaugherty, Scotty McClaugherty and Mark Smith.
