Janis "Jan" Ray Gossett Janis "Jan" Ray Gossett, 64, of Beeville, died Thursday, May 12, 2011. Ms. Gossett was born Jan .28, 1947, in Beeville, to Dorothy Louise Johnson and James Wilbur Ray Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Brandon Wilburn. Survivors include three sons, Robert L. (Ines) Davis Jr. of San Antonio, Shelton R. (Anna) Wilburn of Spring and Garrett H. Gossett of Victoria; two daughters, Lara E. Harris of San Antonio and Kimberly (Jeremy) Gossett Howard of Alvin; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara "Bobbie" (David) Oldaker of Calif.; and her companion, Ferrell Butler of Bandera. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Galloway & Sons Funeral chapel with Chaplain Abel Almendarez officiating. A private burial will follow.
