Javier Gamez

Javier M. "JV" Gamez, 40, of Beeville, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013. Mr. Gamez was born May 2, 1972, in Beeville, to Della (Gamez) and Luciano DeLa Garza. He was a truck driver for Bottom Line Services and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He enjoyed auto body work, fishing and the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eloisa Gamez; grandfather, Jose Gamez; and two uncles, Ivan and David Gamez. Survivors include his parents, Della and Luciano DeLa Garza of Beeville; his children, Alexandria Lynn Gamez, Aric Xavier Gamez and Allison Jae Gamez, all of Beeville; the mother of his children, Erika Gamez of Beeville; two brothers, Robert (Patricia) Gamez of Austin and Ramsey (Lynissa) Gamez of Beeville; two nieces and a nephew, Arriana Jade Gamez, Ramsey "Trey" Gamez and Greylyn Gamez; two aunts, Brenda Gamez (Ceaser) Huerta of Beeville and Daisy Weidel of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; and two uncles, Edward Gamez of Laredo and Ernest Gamez of Illinois. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Rev. Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Services will conclude at the church. Pallbearers will be Robert Gamez, Ramsey Gamez, David Longoria, Rodney Bonham, Hector Longoria, Tommy Ochoa, Ruben Camareno, Gilbert Longoria, Troy Turner and Tim Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be Alexandria Lynn Gamez, Aric Xavier Gamez, Allison Jae Gamez, Philip Hernandez, Robert Gaona, Abel Gaona and Dionicio Ramirez III.
