Jeannie Horton

Jeannie McGill (Henderson) Horton, 86, of Beeville, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011. Mrs. Horton was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Cowdenbeath, Scotland, to Jean (Cairney) and Archibald Henderson. She married Jan L. Horton in Cambridge, England, on July 15, 1959, and was a homemaker. She was formerly active in Youth Athletics Organization. Survivors include her husband, Jan L. Horton of Beeville; two sons, Tracy Horton of League City and Shane Horton of Corpus Christi; four grandsons, Jason Baker, Jared Horton, Dennis Horton and Corey Horton; and four great-granddaughters. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday morning, Oct. 13, at 10 o'clock at Beeville Memorial Park.
