Jeffrey Wayne Berger, 55 of Houston, formerly of Beeville passed away suddenly Thursday, June 20, 2013. He was the son of Donald and Betty Ann Berger of West Hartford, CT. He was born into an Air Force family in Bitburg Germany. His family resided in multiple locations before settling down in West Hartford, CT with his parents and four siblings. He was a graduate of William H. Hall High School, class of 1977 and soon after returned to his beloved Texas and spent his career as a mechanical foreman on golf courses in and around Houston, TX. Jeff a very sensitive, kind soul was an avid racing fan who loved nothing more than hunting and fishing with his faithful dog Hannah. He was a light technician for many local bands where he enjoyed spending time with people. He was a wonderful friend who always made you feel safe, supported and loved. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Betty Ann Berger of West Hartford, CT, his two brothers Donald "Gary" Berger and his wife Jill of Farmington, CT, Greg Berger and his wife Amy of Gilbert, AZ, his two sisters, Laurie Berger of Lebanon, CT and Janna Berger Rigol and her husband Dan Rigol of Wellesley, MA, seven nieces and nephews; Ryan, Christopher and Kaylin Berger of Farmington, CT, Andrew and Samantha Berger of Gilbert, AZ and Dylan and Grace Rigol of Wellesley, MA. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2pm at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Another Memorial services will be held in West Hartford, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarrior.org.
