Jerry Retzloff

Jerry Eugene Retzloff, 70, of Ray Point, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018. Mr. Retzloff was born on September 22, 1947, in Kenedy, Texas to Eleanora (Braune) and Bill Retzloff. He married Geraldine Zamzow on June 14, 1969, in Three Rivers. He was a graduate of Texas A & I University and was a retired accountant. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a faithful member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Three Rivers Texas, as well as the Kairos Prison Ministry, Brush Country Jamboree, Ray Point Community Center, Ray Point Cemetery Association, Gideon International, VFW and Rotary Club where he served as president.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Retzloff; daughters, Lisa (Gilbert) Nuncio and Anita (Mike) Cantu both of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Jason (Shawna) Retzloff of Ray Point, Texas; brothers, Jim (JoAnne) Retzloff of San Antonio, Texas and Jonny (Tracey) Retzloff of Ray Point, Texas; sister, Jeanette (Curtis) Zamzow of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Steve Anthony Garza, Whitney (Bryan) Thorsen and McKenzie and Maegan Retzloff; and great grandchildren, Liam and Ethan Thorsen and Noah Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with a prayer service held there that evening at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Norm Sulaica, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Ray Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Travis Zamzow, Brian Zamzow, Robert Smith, Jeffrey Zamzow, Terry Retzloff, Scottie Zamzow, Tim Retzloff and Will Retzloff.
Those who wish may make donations to Our Savior Lutheran Church or Ray Point Cemetery Association.
