Jo-An was the Treasurer of the First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers and was a former Treasurer of the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce. Jo-An received numerous awards including Lion's Club Citizen of the Year and Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year. Her highest achievement was being a servant for the Lord. Jo-An's overriding passion in life was deriving joy from her total devotion to her family and her church. This family included you, if she knew you, and she was selflessly committed to helping others in need wherever she could. A high school basketball all-star and cheerleader she was an avid sports fan, ready to suit up in support of her teams at any time. She quickly mastered any puzzle or game and was an amazing cook, known far and wide for her chicken fried steak, homemade banana pudding, and brownies just to name a few. She loved watching her boys and her grandchildren in any activity and spent countless hours in stadium seats, logging thousands of hours on the road to cheer them on. She loved her husband and family deeply and was always ready to take on any challenge in loving support of them. She did it all with enthusiasm, style, class, and grace and like all the great ones, she made it all look easy.
