Joan Bernice (Clark) Guyton, 72, of Somerville, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013. Mrs. Guyton was born April 4, 1940, in Berclair to Willie L. and Carrie Bernice (Robinson) Clark. She served in the U.S. Army and was a nurse by profession. She was a member of Word of Life Pentecostal Church in Marino Valley, Calif. She was a mother of the church and church secretary there. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie L. and Carrie Clark; a son, Bryan A. O'Riley; and a brother, Michael Clark. Survivors include her children, Karen (Larry) Jackson of Somerville, Michael A. (Susan) O'Riley of Perris, Calif., Audrey E. Augustus of Brenham and Terri D. Guyton of Corpus Christi; siblings, James T. (Molly) O'Riley of Miami, Fla., Carl D. (Jody) O'Riley of Maryland, Billie S. (T.C. Shields) Donohue, Bruce Clark and Leonard Allen (Blanca) Clark, all of Houston, Melvin (Maria) Clark of San Antonio, Harold Clark of Long Beach, Calif., and Fred W. Clark of Normanna; nine grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service was conducted there at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 22, with Rev. Stanley Smith officiating. Burial followed in St. Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jermy Johnson, Christopher O'Riley, Joshua Clemons, Dominic O'Riley, Michael O'Riley Jr. and Michael Clark Jr. Honorary pallbearers were her bothers, Bruce Clark, Allen Clark, Fred Clark, Harold Clark, Melvin Clark and Robert Shields.
