Joe Franklin Bohac, 88, of Skidmore, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016.
Mr. Bohac was born Dec. 6, 1928, in Olmos to Thelma Fullen and Joe Frank Bohac. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and married Alice Qualls in Beeville on July 4, 1951. He was a retired mechanic and a member of First United Methodist Church in Skidmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Bohac; and a brother-in-law, Leon Qualls.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Kay) Bohac of Lockhart and Larry (Melissa) Bohac of Seguin; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Diane Albach and Debbie Sanchez; and a brother-in-law, Chuck Qualls.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel.
The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, with Rev. Kay Qualls officiating. Musical selections will include “The Old Rugged Cross” and “In the Garden”. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Joey Alvarez, Boyd Catching Jr., James Bohac, Kody Bohac, James Cunningham and Steven Bohac.
