Joe Mcgee

Joe T. McGee, 68, of Beeville, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010. Mr. McGee was born Aug. 5, 1942, in Monte Vista, Colo. to James Alvis McGee and Opal November McGee. He married Peggy Turner on June 22, 1973, in Beeville. He served in the U.S. Army and was a driller by profession. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alvis and Opal November McGee; four brothers; and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Turner McGee of Beeville; four daughters, Lisa McGee Casella of Killeen, Tammi Jo McGee of Beeville, Lori Sue McGee of Houston and Wendy (Richard) Greenwood of Marshall, Va.; one son, James Zimmer Jr. of Beeville; five granddaughters, Samantha, JoLene, Danielle, Onyx and Kristin; two grandsons, Danny and Alexander; five sisters, Naomi Head of Clovis, N.M., Peggy May Gafford of Fort Stockton, Thelma Weber of Ruidoso, Calif., Dolly Powell of Houston and Maida Alexander of Trinity; and one brother, Buck McGee of Artesia, N.M. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted there at 2 o'clock with David Todd officiating.
