John Vanacek

John Travis Vanecek, 30, of Beeville died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010. Mr. Vanecek was born in Beeville on March 1, 1980, to Beverly Rothlisberger. He graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 1998 and from Bee County College in 2006. He was an LVN at Retama Manor in Alice and a former manager of Stripes store in Beeville. Survivors include his parents, Allen and Beverly Rothlisberger of Beeville; three brothers, Shane Vanecek of Beeville, Randy (Kelly) Rothlisberger of Sinton and Lee Rothlisberger of Calallen; four sisters, Lisa (David) Booth of San Antonio, Shelly (Mark) Brook of Rockport, Katelynn Rothlisberger and Amber Rothlisberger of Beeville; grandparents, John and Melba Snyder of Skidmore, Agnes Vanecek of Beeville and Mae Rothlisberger of Beeville; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation was held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel. The funeral service was conducted there at 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. Eddie Garcia officiating. Musical selections included "In the Garden" by vocalist Darcy Westmoreland. Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore. Pallbearers were Michael Castillo, Paul Thomas, Jason Thomas, Justin Thomas, Lee Rothlisberger and Randy Rothlisberger. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Thomas, Shane Vanecek and Marty Calvillo.
