Johnny Carabajal, Sr.

Johnny H. Carabajal, 65, went to be with the Lord August 21, 2016. A lifelong resident of Bee County, Mr. Carabajal was born in Beeville on October 7, 1950, to Rosendo and Timotea (Hernandez) Carabajal. After graduating from Skidmore schools, he married Emma Flores there on January 4, 1969 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a retired security officer and member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Beeville. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Emma, his parents, and his sister Baselisa Alcorta. Mr. Carabajal is survived by his children and eleven grandchildren: Johnny and Leann Carabajal, Alexandria (Michael Kirby), Emily Jane, and John Ross of Beeville; Melissa Carabajal of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mark and Romana Carabajal, Mark Ryan, Matthew, Noah, and Luke of Beeville; Randy and Monica Carabajal, Rhianna and R.J. of Beaumont; and Brian and Sarah Carabajal, Caleb, and Emmalyn of Beeville. Visitation was held on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday August 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzalez officiating and grandson John Ross Carabajal as Altar Server. Burial services will be held at Beeville Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Mark Ryan Carabajal, John Ross Carabajal, Michael Kirby, Travis Ramos, Kevin Ramos and Stephen Phipps.
