Jose Guerrero

Jose Baldemar Guerrero, 77, of George West died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014. Mr. Guererro was born Sept. 1, 1937, to Equiterio and Mariana (Martinez) Guerrero in Cadiz. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and was a retired rancher. Survivors include his wife, Jobentina Guerrero of George West; two daughters, Gloria (Bert) Ruiz of George West and Linda (Joe) Halbrook of Three Rivers; two sons, Arnold Guerrero and Adolfo (Irma) Guerrero, both of George West; brother, Frank Guerrero of George West; six sisters, Lupe Leal of Roby, Vicki Carabajal of Lamesa, Paula Gonzales of Abilene, Lela Albava of George West, Sulema Gonzales of Big Spring and Olivia Guerrero of Austin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 6, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel in George West from 2 to 5 p.m. A rosary was recited that evening at 7 o'clock at St. George Catholic Church. The funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment followed at the St. George Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Crystal Guerrero, Anthony Guerrero, Bertie Ruiz, Christopher Ruiz, Abraham Guerrero, Joe Bob Guerrero, Adrian Guerrero and Colton Guerrero.
