Jose Torres

Jose Manuel Torres, 58, a lifelong resident of George West, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Jose Manuel was born January 16, 1960, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Lorenzo and Felipa (Gonzales) Torres. He married Juanita Casas in George West on January 17, 1985. He was a ranch hand by profession and was a member of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Juanita Torres of George West; two daughters, Anna Torres of Tennessee and Delia Torres of George West; one son, Robert Torres of George West; two grandchildren, Diana Miller and Antonio Miller; one brother, Trancito Torres; and five sisters, Paula Torres, Maria Torres, Lupe Torres, Petra Torres and Monica Torres.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at St. George Catholic Church with Father Ryszard Zielinski officiating. Burial will follow in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Booky Goebel, Robert Torres, Shorty Carbajal, Cristoval Renteria, Avery Guerrero, Jose Gonzales, Rene Valdez and Simon Guerrero
Honorary Pallbearers will be Luke Goebel, Genaro Almaguer, Carlos Castillo, Alex Lopez, Tom Jennings, Wesley Jennings, Travis Meyer and Harlyn Goebel.
