Judy Lawson

Judy Katherine (Britton) Lawson, 67, of Bee County, Cadiz Community, died Sunday, June 5, 2011. Mrs. Lawson was born July 20, 1943, in Mineral Wells to Lennie Mae (Turner) and Bennet Taylor Britton. She married Thomas William Lawson in Corpus Christi on July 28, 1960. She was a beautician and homemaker and was a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas William Lawson Jr.; a daughter, Karen Patricia; and a sister, Shirley Ann Fielder. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Thomas William Lawson of Cadiz; a son, Robert Wayne (Cassandra) Lawson of Port Lavaca; a daughter, Katherine Ann Lawson of Port Lavaca; five grandchildren, Michael Collins, Thomas "Tony" Collins, Brent Jones, Amy Lawson and Sara Lawson; a brother, Bryan T. Britton of Burnett; four sisters, Brenda T. Gremmel of Pettus, Elizabeth Sherron Havas of Spring Branch, Doris Fern Robbins of Burnett and Evelyn Jean Beaird of Merkel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Wednesday, June 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel. The funeral service was conducted there Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Musical selections were provided by vocalist Jerry Wayne Beaird. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.
