Julia Tanguma

Julia Garcia Tanguma, 85, passed away on November 9, 2015. She was born on January 9, 1930 in Three Rivers to Amado and Manuela (Rodriguez) Garcia. She married Nasario Tanguma in 1984 in Three Rivers. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed quilting, baking, working in the yard, and playing bingo with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Diana Garcia; son, Ruben Garcia; and brother, Francisco Garcia. She is survived by her husband, Nasario Tanguma of Three Rivers; children, David Garcia of Corpus Christi, Rudy (Celia) Garcia of Three Rivers, and Mary Elia (Larry) Molinar of Odessa; siblings, Elpidia Martinez of Three Rivers, Lucia Pena of Corpus Christi, Senida (Severo) Pena of Premont, Antonio (Ruby) Garcia of Corpus Christi, and Amada (Abelardo) Sotelo of Three Rivers; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation was held from 1 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers with a Rosary recited there that evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers. Interment followed at Three Rivers Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rudy Garcia, Jr., Michael Sotelo, Timmy Briseno, Ryan Briseno, Brian Hernandez, and Darian Cruz.
