Lenora Howell

Lenora Verlene Howell took the journey to be with our Lord on Thursday, November 17th, 2011. Lenora was born in George West, Texas to Joe Banta and Olga Bradfute Banta, September 11, 1926. She married Homer Everette Howell February 4th 1954. She was a military (NAVY) wife for thirty years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, crocheting, her plants, taking care of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her animals. Lenora gave the gift of love to her kids, and the same gift of love to all who crossed her path of life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer E. Howell; her parents, Joe and Olga Banta; her siblings, Weslie Banta, Arnold Banta, Laverne Taylor, Elizabeth Golden; her son, Darly D. Howell; and her grandson, Charlie Howell. She is survived by her daughter, Linda F. Buchanan and husband Charles Buchanan, daughter, Brenda F. Clayton and husband Johnny Clayton, son James Everette Howell and daughter Barbara E. Howell; thirteen grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. The viewing for family is from 5pm to 6pm, and for friends from 6pm to 8pm Monday, November 21st. The funeral is at 2pm Tuesday, November 22nd at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 409 N. Tyler Beeville, Texas 78102. Burial will follow at the Church of Christ Cemetery in Argenta, Texas. Pallbearers are James Everette Howell, Sean P.
