Leonor Paiz

Leonor C. Paiz, 80, of George West, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Mrs. Paiz was born April 19, 1937, in George West to Julian and Francisca (Rangel) Colunga. She married Juan Paiz in George West in December 1963. She was a homemaker and member of Impact Church in George West. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and grandchildren, Salena Clevenger, Maria Sol Paiz, Mark Anthony Paiz and Kaysea Lozano. Survivors include five daughters, Frances De Los Santos of Kenedy, Julia B. Villa, MaryAnn Paiz and Sylvia Cortez, all of George West, and Nora Flores of Christine; four sons, Juan R. Paiz, Ronnie Paiz, Cardelio Paiz and Santana Paiz, all of George West; 32 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Impact Church followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, with Rev. Trino Paiz officiating. Burial will follow at George West Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rico Zuniga, Gilbert Constante Jr., Ray Lozano, Richard Cortez Jr., Ronnie "RJ" Paiz, Juan Paiz and Jerry Flores II. Honorary pallbearer will be Frances De Los Santos.
