Leroy Magill, 90, of Beeville, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014. Mr. Magill was born Nov. 29, 1923, in Salado to Mattie (Ashcraft) and Aaron Magill. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was in the Chase Field Civil Service as a public works supervisor. He married Mary Blair in Beeville on June 29, 1971, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, the VFW and American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Mary Magill of Beeville; a daughter, Kay Johnston of Grove, Oklahoma; a stepson, Rob Williams, and his partner of Puerto Rico; five grandchildren, Angie Miles, Allison Woods, Suzanne Williams, Jodie Williams and Jim Williams; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service will be conducted there Thursday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Homer Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Morris, Kevin Wesson, Jason Tindol, Garrett Tindol, David Miller, Erwin Massengale, Chris Fruend,and Bill Truxaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Chesnut and Jackie Davis. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home
