Linda Mccurdy

Linda Marie (Hausmann) McCurdy passed away peacefully at her home in Beeville, Texas, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was 75.

Linda was born March 12, 1944, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Marion and Harold A. Hausmann.

The Navy brought her family to Beeville, Texas in 1957, where she met John C. McCurdy, her high school sweetheart. Linda and John were married in July 1962 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and moved to Idar-Oberstein, Germany where John was stationed in the Army.

Linda was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Quilters of the Faith Lutheran Church. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was also a very loving, gentle and an accepting person who always offered an ear and was loved by many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a half- brother, Leo Battle.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, John C. McCurdy of Beeville; three children, Daniel Clark McCurdy of San Antonio, Jennifer L. McCurdy of Austin and Emily Carol McCurdy of Minneapolis; and a sister, Diana Goodwin of Rogers, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville.

A Rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 o'clock with Deacon Luis Trevino officiating.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales and Pastor Gary Conklin officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
