Lois Davis

Lois Maxine Tindol Davis, 93, passed away on June 10, 2015. She was born to Butler K. Tindol and Fannie Jane Fugate Tindol in Cadiz, Texas, on February 24, 1922. She was raised in the Cadiz Community, and resided there until 1941 when she moved to Tuleta with her husband and infant son. In 1957, she, her husband and children moved to Houston. In 1963, she, her husband and daughter moved to Metairie, Louisiana. She returned to Cadiz in 1977, and resided there until her passing. She married Orville W. Davis in Beeville, Texas, on April 26, 1940. Mrs. Davis was a rancher, cattle women, a homemaker, wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. She was a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church and then became a member of the First Baptist Church in Beeville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville W. Davis Sr., brother, Cpl. George Irvin Tindol; and grandson, David Bryan Davis. Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, Roy Kimble Davis Sr. and his wife, Mary Sue of Pleasanton, Texas, and Orville W. Davis Jr. and his wife, Zo of Lewisville, Texas; a daughter, Donna Davis of Cadiz, Texas; and a brother, Charles Reagan Tindol of Cadiz, Texas. Four grandchildren Roy K. Davis, Bruce W. Davis Sr., Christy McCollum and Debra L. Hancock. Twelve great-grandchildren, Roy III, Jonathan, Bruce Jr., Bryan, Taylor and Abigail Davis, Nicolas Garcia, Zoe Garcia, Cooper, Cash, Reagan and Rylie McCollum; one great-great-grandchild, McKinley Davis; and by nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church. Interment to follow at The Davis Ranch Cemetery in Cadiz, Texas. Pallbearers will be Roy Davis Jr., Bruce Davis, Bryan Tindol Davis, Taylor Davis, Evan Brown and Fernando Tamez. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home
