Lola Sherrill

Lola Ann (Pitts) Sherrill, 68, of Mineral died Thursday, May 5, 2011. Ms. Sherrill was born May 7, 1942, in McGregor to Hollis and Lucille (Sharp) Pitts. She was a member of Mineral Baptist Church. She was a retired teacher after 20 years and taught school in Vidor and in Estes Park, Colo. She lived in Mineral for seven years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Lucille (Sharp) Pitts. Survivors include two brothers, Sidney (Shirley) Pitts of McGregor and John (Kay) Pitts of Mineral; and five nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Mineral Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Mineral Baptist Church.
