Louis Brandt

Louis C. Brandt, 80, of Beeville, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. Mr. Brandt was born Jan. 4, 1935, in DeWitt County to Edna (Stehle) and Louis Henry Brandt. He married Barbara Essary in Refugio County on April 4, 1959, and was a retired oil field compressor mechanic. He worked for Republic National Gas and H&D Operating and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Edna Brandt; two brothers, Edgar Lee Brandt and Allen Brandt; and a sister, Loraine Lassmann. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brandt of Beeville; children, Garland (Wanita) Brandt of Ulysses, Kansas, Brenda (Wes) Williams of Refugio and Sheila Brandt of Yorktown; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 17, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service was conducted at Glenwood Cemetery Sunday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gary Conklin officiating. Pallbearers were Garland Brandt, Wes Williams, Brandon Marsh, Michael Krietsch, Jason Lee and Kelly Barnell. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home
