Louise E. Mayberry, 88, of Beeville, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018.
Mrs. Mayberry was born June 23, 1930, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Charles F. and Elizabeth (Philbrick) Ingraham. She graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1947 and retired as secretary from St. Philip's Episcopal Church where she had been an active member for more than 56 years. She played the organ and directed the hand bell choir and served in the daycare. Active in Kairos Prison Ministry for more than 20 years, she was also involved with Beeville Little League where she served as District 29 assistant administrator.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Carl R. Mayberry Jr. of Beeville; five children, John (Penny) Davis of Southbridge, Massachusetts, Kay Davis of Bellingham, Washington, Lynne (Dallas) Van Horn of Yakima, Washington, Marsha (Henry) Taylor of Manchester, Maine, and Nadine (Leon) Guidry of Oak Harbor, Washington; a brother, George Ingraham; eight grandchildren, Erica Tweedie, Dawn Anderson, Gordon Anderson, Luke Van Horn, Kayla Van Horn, Jill Riggle, Wesley Berry and Hannah Sullivan; 10 great-grandchildren and another on the way; and one niece, Elizabeth Ingraham.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, with Rev. Brian Tarver officiating.
Pallbearers will be Reabo Mayberry, G. Bernard Mayberry, Gordon Anderson, Damien Anderson, George Ingraham, Earl Anderson and Michael Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angel Bright Hospice of Corpus Christi, 3213 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
