Lowell W. Hanson, 77, of Dinero, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. Mr. Hanson was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Steele City, Neb., to Wilfred and Frances James Hanson. He married Ruby Lambert on Nov. 24, 1957, in Loveland, Colo., and served in the United States Army. He was a construction contractor by profession. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Louis Hanson; and a sister, Lavonne Brockman. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Hanson of Dinero; two daughters, Chari (Russell) Lambert of Dailey, Colo., and Rhonda (John) Snipes of Lake Hills; a son, Robert Hanson of Mathis; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service was conducted there Saturday morning, Feb. 4, at 10 o'clock with Pastor J.C. Ballard officiating. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Cody Harris, Curtis Hanson, Earl McCown, Justin Snipes, Craig Snipes and Sam Hargrove.
