Margaret Custer

Margaret Custer, 88, passed away on March 7, 2017. She was born on December 13, 1928, in Three Rivers, Texas to Cecil and Martha (Claunch) Cunningham. She married James K. (Jimmie) Custer on June 22, 1947, in Three Rivers. Mrs. Custer was a member of First Baptist Church in Three Rivers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Martha Cunningham; and her husband, Jimmie Custer.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie (Elaine) Custer of Refugio, Texas, Ricky (Sue) Custer of George West, Texas, Randy (Cissy) Custer of George West, Texas and Rocky (Cindy) Custer of McCoy, Texas; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and her sister, Nora Bryant of Boerne, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers, Texas. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Three Rivers, Texas with Rev. Marcos Gohlke officiating. Music selections will include “How Great Thou Art” “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “When They Ring Them Golden Bells.” Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery.
