Margaret Dietz

Margaret Talkington Dietz passed away quietly and peacefully on November 28th, 2010, in Houston, Tx. She was born in Laredo, Texas on June 9th, 1926, to longtime Beeville residents, Vernon L. and Gracie Talkington. Margaret is survived by: Her 2 sisters, Betty Ann Berger of West Hartford Connecticut, and Kathleen LaCour of Bishop, Tx, Her 3 children-Laraine Peterson of Mountain View, CA, Martha Dietz of Wimberley, Tx, and Vernon Dietz of Houston, Tx, and her 4 grandchildren, Dianna Peterson, Taylor and Parker Teutsch, and Valerie Dietz. After she graduated from A.C. Jones high school in 1944, she met and later married Clifton E. Dietz who, at the time, was a teacher at A.C. Jones. Years later, Margaret went to Del Mar College in 1971, to become a licensed vocational nurse. She worked from 1973 until about 1997, in Corpus Christi, Austin and Houston. She mostly did private duty nursing for families that needed in home care. While living in Austin during the fall of 1998, she had a mild stroke that affected her memory. After the stroke, she lived in a personal care home in Houston the last 11 years of her life under the careful watch of her nearby family.
