Maria Louisa (Garcia) Amador, 71, of George West, Texas, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018 at Christus Spohn Hospital, Beeville.
Mrs. Amador was born June 30, 1947 in Mathis to Pedro and Andrea (Gutierrez) Garcia. She married Rodolfo Amador in Live Oak County on April 8, 1972. She was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Andrea Garcia; her husband, Rodolfo Amador; brothers, Adan Garcia, Alberto Garcia, Andres Garcia, Alejandro Garcia, Eliseo Gonzales, Nieves Gonzales and Pancho Gonzales; sisters, Carmen Garcia, Amelia Sandoval, Josefa Ruiz, Paula Martinez, Petra Martinez, Julia Martinez and Eva Hinojosa; and a granddaughter, Victoria Ann Cortez.
Survivors include a brother, Porfirio Garcia; two sisters, Hortencia Garcia and Olivia Sanchez; a son, Manuel (Rosie) Lozano; a daughter, Mary Ann (Manuel) Cortez; four grandchildren, Christopher Lozano, Ray Lee Lozano, Manuel Lozano II and Lucas Cortez; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West, Texas, with a prayer service at 7 o'clock that evening.
The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 with Pastor Trino Paiz officiating. Burial will follow in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray Lee Lozano, Manuel Lozano II, Lucas Cortez, David Brandenburg, Richard Sanchez and Eddie Garcia.
