Maria Cavazos

Maria Carmelita G. Cavazos, 87, of Skidmore, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2011, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Celestino Ruiz Cavazos; and son, Celestino "George" Cavazos Jr. Survivors include five daughters, Nora Gore of Jacksonville, Florida; Angelica (Pete) Soliz of Pasadena, Texas; Janie Gomez of Beeville, Texas; Dorothy and Mary Jane Cavazos of Skidmore, Texas, and a daughter in-law, Diane Cavazos of Sinton, Texas; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were private. Honorary pallbearer was Robert Allen Cavazos. Pallbearers were Christopher Lynn Gomez, Jay D Rhodes, Justin Rhodes, Deena Rae French, Jonathon and John E Gustafson. A heartfelt thank you Dr. Joseph Larakers and his staff for the loving care given to our precious mother over the last several years. The family wishes to express their great gratitude to Exclusive Home Health, especially to Sherri Cortez with Exclusive Home Health-Hospice for her loving care for our mother in her final hours.
