Mark A. Gomez Sr., 49, of Beeville, died Sunday, June 20, 2010. Mr. Gomez was born in Beeville on Sept. 17, 1960, to Elisa Duarte and Antonio Gomez. He married Annette Almendarez on Feb. 16, 1990, in Beeville. He was a maintenance manager for Rio Entertainment, a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Pettus-Tuleta Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed roping, singing, woodwork and crafts. He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece. Survivors include his wife, Annette Gomez of Beeville; two sons, Anthony Brian (Tiffany) Gomez of Livingston and Mark Anthony Gomez Jr. of Beeville; five brothers, Guadalupe (Lena) Gomez, Daniel (Inez) Gomez, Richard (Paula) Gomez Sr., Joe (Rosa Linda) Gomez and Bobby Ray (Kathy) Gomez, all of Beeville; two sisters, Emma Lee Gomez (David) Sayre of Normanna and Mary Alice (Cirildo Jr.) Garza of Blanconia; two grandchildren, Anthony Brian Gomez and Brily Gomez of Livingston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o'clock. A chapel service was conducted there Wednesday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Patrick Donohoe officiating. Musical selections included "Amazing Grace" and "His Eye is on the Sparrow." Burial followed in the Beeville Memorial Park.
