Mary Davis

BEEVILLE, TEXAS Mary Kathryn (Penny) Davis entered the heavenly gates on December 12, 2011. Penny was born on January 3, 1942 in Longview, Texas to Luke and Sue Gratehouse. Penny graduated from William Adams High School in Alice, Texas and attended A & I in Kingsville, Texas. She married Bill Davis, Jr. on March 3, 1962. Penny is survived by her husband; sons, Cliff Davis (Acenet) of Cuero, and Aaron Davis (Linda) of Austin. She has 3 granddaughters, Marissa, Ariel, and Sophia; 1 grandson, Will; 2 brothers, Mark and Ron Gratehouse (Jeannie); niece, Lindsay Gratehouse; nephew, Luke Gratehouse; and numerous nieces and nephews. Penny had a vibrant personality and never met a stranger. She was loved by anyone that knew her and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held at Galloway & Sons Chapel on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 15, 2011 at First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
