Mary Rivera

Mary Alice (Longoria) Rivera, 67, of Beeville, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015. Ms. Rivera was born July 11, 1948, in Beeville to Dolores (Perez) and Baldemar V. Longoria. She was employed with Bee County College (Coastal Bend College) for 34 years. She was a Catholic and enjoyed watching movies. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her mother, Dolores P. Longoria; three children, Vivian (Jeff) Johnson, Jason Rivera and Andrew Rivera; siblings, John F. (Sonia) Longoria, Joseph A. (Sylvia) Longoria, Brigette Escamilla and Denise Longoria (Lawrence) Arispe; and three grandchildren, Matthew A. Johnson, Addison G. Johnson and Logan J. Johnson. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there this evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jason Rivera, Andrew Rivera, John F. Longoria, Joseph A. Longoria, Jeff Johnson and Ian Escamilla. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew A. Johnson, Logan Johnson, Frank Pizana and Lawrence Arispe.
