Mary Walker

Mary Louise Walker, 88, went home to her Lord on April 3, 2017. Mary Louise was born on August 2, 1928, to Jasper R. and Mamie Marie (Natho) Curbello in Beeville, Texas. She married Jacob E. Walker, Sr. on June 16, 1950, in Beeville, Texas. She was a Baptist and worked as a Floor Nurse retiring from Riverside Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Marie (George) Edwards of Corpus Christi, Rachel Lorraine (Pat) Harris of Corpus Christi; sons, Jacob Edward Walker, Jr. of Tuscon, Arizona, Bobby (Lisa) Walker of Corpus Christi; 8 grandchildren, Julie Willis, Starr Bailey, Shely Thibodeaux, Charlie Harris, Russ Harris, Vance Walker, Justin Walker, and Lyndzee Walker; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Ross Curbello; sisters, Virginia Phelps, Nancy Toome, sister-in-law, Zelma Curbello; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
