Mary Whitworth

Mary Lou Tindol-Whitworth passed away on June 12, 2015. She was born to Jim and Lucy Jones of Swinney Switch, Texas, on July 29, 1927, and was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Martha Ann Whitworth; and brother Jimmie Jones. She married Neville Tindol in May 1945, and together they raised five children, N.P. (Charlie) Tindol of San Angelo, Texas, Mary Tenery of Tilden, Texas, J.D. Tindol & wife, Lisa of Beeville, Texas, Lucy Pope and Billy of Anderson, Texas, and Charley Ray Tindol and wife, Vickie of West Columbia, Texas. After the death of her husband, Neville Tindol, she married Jack Whitworth of Boerne, Texas and following his death she moved to San Angelo, Texas, to live with her son, N.P. (Charlie) Tindol. She was a member of Grape Creek Baptist Church. Services were held June 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville, Texas. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery. Robert Jones was the presiding minister. Those who served as pallbearers were, Jimmy Bednorz, Jimmie Jones, Steven Weir, Brad Whitworth, Todd VanWay, and Cole Hardin. Mary Lou is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was well loved by many, and she will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the Live Oak Nursing Home and Hospice for all the care, love and support she received.
