Mattie Schroeder

Mattie Lou Schroeder, 84, passed away on November 30, 2011. She was born on July 10, 1927, to Bob and Ora Eaves Davis in Calvert, Texas. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a nurse. She married Dr. Orville Charles Schroeder in 1948, in Waco, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Ron) Coldeway of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren, Justin (Shannon) Coldeway and Kristen (Clyde) Evons; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Peyton, Mason, Davis and Reese; mother-in-law, Alice Schroeder of Beeville, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville on April 2, 2004; son, Doug Schroeder; and brothers, Bill and Robert Davis. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011, at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Interment followed at Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Daniel James, Justin Coldeway, Clyde Evons, Rudy Rodriguez, Noah Garcia, and Manuel Gonzales.
