Maxine L. Flossel, 97, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. She was born on March 16, 1913, in Fort Collins, Colorado to Jay and Louise Michaud Linville. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The Home Arts Club, The Wednesday Gin Card Club, and she worked for several companies as a bookkeeper. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Louise Linville; husband Paul Flossel; a daughter, Bette Haynie; a sister; and 5 brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Tomi C. Rayburn of Victoria; a sister, Jadine Kovar of Victoria; six grandchildren, Lauren Harabis of Victoria, Polli Tower and husband Benton of San Antonio, George W. Rayburn and wife Deborah of Beeville, Dr. David Haynie and wife Amy of Dallas, Dr. Amy Phelan and husband Dr. Herb Phelan of Dallas, Sue Haynie of Houston; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Maxine's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
