Melodye Davis

Melodye Sue Davis was born on April 2, 1959. She left this earth on February 10, 2013. She is survived by her parents, Naida and P.E. Davis Jr.; her sister Denise and husband F.E. Fenner, daughter Brandy Steele and children Conner and Chloe Steele; her brother Jay S. Davis, wife Christine, children Amanda Davis, Danica Salinovich and son Landon Martinez. Melodye is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her companion and friend Doug Hardy. Melodye also leaves behind countless friends who cared for and loved her. Melodye graduated A.C. Jones High School in 1977 receiving the "Most Beautiful Senior" distinguished honor upon graduation. She has spent the majority of her adult life as a government employee in NAS Chase Field, then NAS Meridien followed by NAS Kingsville where she served as a plane captain for Boeing then L3 Communications also known as Vertex Aerospace. While serving at NAS Kingsville, Melodye received a distinguished award from the base commander for her safety implementation and recognition which prevented the possible loss of life and aircraft at NAS Kingsville. Her beauty and her smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
