Melvin Nicholson, Jr.

Melvin Ray Nicholson, Jr., 81, passed away on February 27, 2011. He was born to Melvin Ray and Claudine (Black) Nicholson, Sr. in Beeville, Texas on July 7, 1929. He served in the U.S. Army and was lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a friend to everyone he met, lover of God, lover of Jesus Christ, and his Holy Bride the Catholic Church. He was a Roman Catholic Benedictine Monk. He is survived by numerous friends and family. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Galloway & Sons Chapel. A rosary was recited that evening at 7 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev.
