Mickey Lynn Guynes passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 76, in Pasadena, Texas.
Mickey was born on June 15, 1948, in Wheeler, Texas to parents Clyde Ray Guynes and Anita Lois Weatherly Guynes.
Mickey dedicated many years to his career as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to travel extensively and meet people from all walks of life. His presence on the road was as dedicated as it was in the lives of those he loved.
Mickey was lovingly married to Helen Guynes, who preceded him in death. He leaves behind a legacy of love and enduring memories with his family: brother Richard Guynes, his wife Diane Guynes, nieces Amy Legarde and husband Chip, Holly Dodd and husband, Mike and Carrie Murphy and husband Ben. He was also a great father figure for Mitchell Bynum, his wife, Pauline and their 4 children, Landon, Logan, Sophie and Josey. He is survived by his great-nieces Robin Miller and Brooke Dodd along with great-nephews Chase, Colby, and Nicholas Legarde and Tobin Murphy.
Mickey will be remembered for his fun loving spirit, his love for his family, and his desire for the open road. His life was a journey, not only across the miles but also in the hearts of those who knew him. He never met a stranger! He will be deeply missed by his family and the numerous friends he has made throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 3, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers.
