Mike Mylnar, 50, of Beeville, Texas formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on January 2, 2013. He was born on July 23, 1962 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Richard Dean and Pasty (Clark) Mylnar. He married Katheryn Watson on March 10, 1984 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a member of Blanconia Baptist Church and a welding instructor for A. C. Jones High School. Mike was also a member of American Welding Society, Texas Industrial Vocational Association and founder of Mike Mylnar Memorial Nueces County Livestock Show American Welding Society Competition. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dean Mylnar and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dr. Paul and Marian Watson. His is survived by wife, Katheryn Mylnar of Beeville, Texas; children, Paul (Elizabeth) Mylnar of Beeville, Texas and Robyn (Cory) Burke of Beeville, Texas; mother, Patsy Clark Mylnar of Beeville, Texas; brother, Richard Lamar (Rhonda) Mylnar of Whitsett, Texas; sister-in-law, Paige (Scott) Rollings of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother-in-law, Winston Watson of Corpus Christi, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 12- 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Beeville, Texas followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Mundine officiating. Interment will follow at Blanconia Baptist Cemetery in Blanconia, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jim Kennedy, Pat Seals, Jarod Bleibdrey, Martin Montez, Rick Webb, Steve Sijansky, Matt Downing, and Winston Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be all his welders "his boys".
